I'm pretty sure they made Chikai already.
I watched the first movie, and it was sorta low budget, but still epic for being Higurashi.

HOLY CRAP! I LOOOOVE THIS SHOWW!
I just found out about it like... A couple weeks ago and i am completely enthralled with it.

They did make a live action film of Hirugashi. I haven't seen it, but if you look it up on youtube they had the trailer, and i think clips.
